FurnitureFinders Community Guidelines

Welcome to the FurnitureFinders community. Our platform is a professional space for office furniture sellers and buyers to connect in a trusted marketplace and industry collaboration resource.
Please follow these guidelines to help maintain a positive, respectful, and effective environment for all members.

Overview of Marketplace, Exchange, and PLS

  • Marketplace: Designed for verified sellers who have their own office furniture website and own and warehouse their inventory. The marketplace allows sellers to advertise their pre-owned office furniture and related assets and connect with buyers directly.
  • The FurnitureFinders Exchange: An exclusive space for office furniture industry professionals to buy, sell, and trade used furniture at discounted rates and communicate with other members. Key features include:
    • Industry Inbox: A secure messaging system for private and timely communication within the community. Find discounted product listings from approved sellers.
    • Member Directory: A directory to help industry professionals connect for partnerships and resource sharing.
    • Installer/Labor Network: Connect with a network of professional installers for logistics, labor and installation support.
  • Who’s allowed on The Exchange:
    • Furniture Broker - Yes
    • Used Furniture Dealer - Yes
    • New Furniture Dealer - Yes
    • Moving Company - No
    • Furniture Installer - Yes
    • New Furniture Manufacturer - No
  • Product Listing Service (PLS): A tool for marketplace sellers to syndicate FurnitureFinders inventory for broader exposure and power the listings on their own site. PLS is a syndication aid and not a standalone platform.

The Exchange Membership Requirements

Exchange Membership: To become an Exchange member, interested sellers must be a member of the office furniture industry. We want to ensure a network of committed professional participants make up the Exchange.

Community Standards: While there are currently no additional rules once membership is granted, members are expected to uphold professional standards in all interactions. Any behaviors that threaten or compromise the safety of other members are grounds for removal from the Exchange. For example, a member was previously removed for threatening another member. We take such incidents seriously to maintain a safe and respectful community.
